SUMMER YOGA RETREAT BY THE OCEAN
Brittany, FRANCE | 11 – 18 July 2026
A restorative summer escape blending yoga, meditation, and exploration of France’s most stunning coastline!
Brittany has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve spent countless holidays there, in my father’s region, enjoying the wild ocean, the ragged cliffs, the sentiers des douaniers (trail paths), the distinct stone houses, and the openness of the local people. Organising a retreat in this region is a way for me to share that connection with you: a chance to experience a summer week shaped by mild weather, ocean dips, breathtaking coastal walks, picturesque villages, and the kind of atmosphere that naturally invites you to slow down.
This yoga retreat is designed to help you unwind, disconnect from your daily routine and environment in order to reconnect to nature and your body’s natural rhythm. It’s an opportunity to live consciously and mindfully. Through daily meditation sessions and morning and evening yoga practices, you’ll have the space to tune into yourself, move with intention, and notice how small shifts accumulate into a deeper sense of balance.
Alongside the yoga practices and workshops, we’ll explore the area (Southern Finistère), relish nourishing vegetarian meals made from local produce, and enjoy free time for resting, reading, swimming in the ocean, or whatever you need most. I’ve crafted this week to support you in finding calm, clarity, and a renewed sense of energy — so you return home feeling lighter, revitalised and maybe in love with Brittanny too!
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
Our week together follows a steady, nurturing rhythm. Each morning begins with a 2-hour yoga practice that weaves together meditation, pranayama, asanas, mantras, and relaxation — a complete start to the day that supports both body and mind. After practice, we’ll gather for a nutritious brunch prepared by our private cook before easing into some free time: resting at the house, enjoying the garden, wandering in Plomeur village, or heading to the beach (5/10 minute drive). Every other day, a mid-afternoon activity will be offered to help you discover the region, whether it’s a coastal hike, a visit to a local site, or a surfing initiation. Late afternoons will alternate between a restorative yoga session and focused workshops designed to deepen specific aspects of your practice. In the evenings, we’ll share dinner at the gîte and close the day with a sharing circle or an optional talk or relaxed group activity.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Based in Brussels, Elsa aka Yogazaz is a passionate yogi teaching different levels of yoga practitioners, emphasising inclusivity in her classes for all body types, genders, ages, and backgrounds.
Certified in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Pre/postnatal and Menopause Yoga, she ensures a welcoming environment for all. Her teaching focuses on breathing, mindfulness, interoception, core strength, alignment, and joint mobility.
She always encourages everyone to explore, celebrate and focus on their own practice. Her approach combines curiosity and care, creating a space where students feel both supported and challenged in meaningful ways. With a background in theatre and dance and a love for mindful movement, she guides practitioners toward a deeper connection with themselves — on and beyond the mat.
MEALS
Our meals will be lovingly prepared by Corinne, our private cheffe from Bretagne. A passionate cook and a dedicated permaculture expert, she cultivates her own produce according to sustainable and regenerative principles. Throughout the week, she will bring freshly harvested ingredients straight from her garden, transforming them into nourishing vegetarian dishes that are both local and eco-friendly. Her cuisine is flavorful and deeply comforting — the kind of food that supports your practice and leaves you feeling grounded and well cared for. You will enjoy her unique recipes, crafted with attention, creativity, and a whole lot of love!
ACCOMODATION
We will stay in a charming gîte called “Le Presbytère de Plomeur”, a beautifully renovated former presbytery in the heart of the Pays Bigouden, in the village of Plomeur. Full of character and history, the house offers a warm and welcoming environment for groups.
The gîte features 5 bedrooms (1 triple room and 4 twin rooms), 2 bathrooms (1 bathtub, 2 showers), and 3 toilets. There is a fully furnished kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a cozy living room, and a practice room under the roof for our yoga practices and workshops (which can also take place in the garden if the weahter is warm!).
Outside, a large garden provides quiet corners among apple trees, kiwifruit vines, and a little stream — perfect for mindful walks, reflection, or relaxing on the grass.
